Business Analytics Manager

The Business Analytics Manager is responsible for collecting data from multiple sources using sophisticated data analysis and critical thinking. He/She will be responsible for developing slides/graphs/charts to depict the data trends/findings to support presentation creation. The Business Analytics Manager will also support marketing in executing surveys, outbound email campaigns, webinars, etc.

Job Functions

  • Designs data collection templates and assesses information gathered to develop metrics and report on progress
  • Designs reports and creates visual graphics to communicate data
  • Analyses data findings, determines data trends and projections and makes recommendations
  • Provides insights to management regarding new information that may be helpful to understanding the market, physician, practice dynamics or patient
  • Continually scans news data outlets to acquire knowledge on the market, physicians, funding, and competition, and communicates to management team
  • Regularly interfaces with internal cross functional representatives, sales, marketing communications agency, and customer (physician/allied health professional) relative to data findings and understanding reasons for results
  • Regularly assesses competitive share of market and reports to management
  • In collaboration with VP of Marketing, assists in forecasting market size and developing financial forecasts
  • Develops and reports on various metrics
  • Sources and interfaces with any third-party vendor outside of existing group, regarding surveys and market research

Education: Business degree

Experience: 5-8 years working as analyst

Experience working in start-up/small company environment preferred


  • Sophisticated and extensive analytical skills with the ability to develop, assess, and synthesize metrics in order to make data-supported recommendations/decisions
  • Expert in all functions of excel programming and analysis
  • Ability to deliver results under time constraints and deadlines
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks a plus. Proficiency in database programs
  • Critical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy
