President & CEO
Mr. Mangano has spent over 20 years in the medical device field. Prior to joining ReShape Medical®, he served six years as President and member of the Senior Executive and Leadership Team for Sirtex Medical, a life-sciences company that develops and delivers oncology treatments using novel small particle technology. During his tenure there, he grew revenue from $34 million to over $130 million. His leadership experience includes a track record of driving commercial success by building dynamic teams, leading organizational change, shaping strategies, executing programs, and developing a high energy culture resulting in increased shareholder value. Prior to his role at Sirtex Medical, Mr. Mangano served 15 years at Boston Scientific, where he functioned as Director of International Distribution Management on the international senior leadership team. In this role, Mr. Mangano was responsible for building and leading an international function that managed global distributor models, strategies, and processes in 94 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Latin America. During his time at Boston Scientific, Mr. Mangano also worked on leadership teams for multiple mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. He has extensive experience in the GI endoscopy and interventional cardiology device markets. Mr. Mangano holds a BS in Marketing from St. Joseph’s University.
John Lehmann, MD, MPH
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Lehmann is a physician, medical device industry executive, and consultant with over 20 years of industry experience. Dr. Lehmann currently heads Lehmann Consulting, LLC, founded in 1996, which provides a wide range of strategic, advisory, and implementation services regarding IDE clinical trials for PMA devices, product development, due diligence, and commercial activities support for large and small medical industry and investment clients. Prior to forming Lehmann Consulting, he held the positions of Group Medical Director and VP, Medical Affairs for Cardiology and New Ventures Divisions for C.R. Bard. Dr. Lehmann has a decade of academic medical practice and hospital administration. Dr. Lehmann received his BA and MPH degrees from Harvard and an MD degree from Tufts, trained at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and was a Fellow at MIT. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and holds over two dozen US and international patents for medical devices.
Mary Lou Mooney
VP of Clinical, Regulatory & Quality
Ms. Mooney has over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining ReShape Medical, Ms. Mooney served for seven years as the Vice President of Regulatory, Clinical & Quality for USGI Medical, a developer of devices for incisionless surgery. Prior to USGI Medical, Ms. Mooney held the position of Vice President of Regulatory, Clinical & Quality for SenoRx, a company focused on minimally invasive devices for the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Her regulatory and clinical experience also includes senior management positions with several cardiovascular and surgical device manufacturers. From 2001 to 2005, she served as the industry representative on the FDA Obstetrics and Gynecology Devices Advisory Panel. Ms. Mooney holds an MS in Biomedical Science from Drexel University and a BA in Biology from La Salle University.
VP of Sales
Mr. Haggerty is a dynamic sales and marketing leader with more than 30 years of experience driving revenue growth through skilled alignment of sales and promotional strategies. His professional experience includes a record of successful leadership in development, launch, and commercial sales of innovative, paradigm-shifting products and technologies in highly competitive medical markets. Prior to joining ReShape, Mr. Haggerty served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ceterix Orthopaedics, a sports medicine device manufacturer. Prior to Ceterix Orthopaedics, he held the position of Vice President of Global Marketing with Covidien GI Solutions, which acquired the start-up company BARRX Medical, a manufacturer of a medical device treating Barrett’s Esophagus disease. While at Covidien GI Solutions, Mr. Haggerty held both US and Global sales positions during his six-year tenure. Mr. Haggerty also served as the Director of Sales and National Accounts at Gyrus/ACMI for four years, Director of Sales at Boston Scientific-Endoscopy for 11 years, and as a member of the Sales and Sales Management teams with Proctor and Gamble for six years. Mr. Haggerty holds a BS in Business from Wake Forest University.
VP of Marketing
Ms. Scott is a seasoned marketing and sales professional in the medical device industry. She has commercialized and managed products in a variety of global markets. With over 20 years of experience, her roles have included product development, branding and promotions, sales management, venture capital investing, and product management. Prior to joining ReShape Medical, Ms. Scott held senior management positions at Edwards Lifesciences, managing heart valve therapy products in all stages of product lifecycles, WaveTec Vision Systems as Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for executing the launch of a wavefront abberometer used in cataract surgery, and DJO Global, where she had P&L responsibility for a $364M portfolio of orthopedic products. Most recently, Ms. Scott was at Pacific Communications, the Allergan-owned communications agency, working on brand strategy and product launch readiness for their consumer-driven facial aesthetics product line. Ms. Scott holds a BS in Business from Indiana University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
